Wojciech Fangor

Nasce nel 1922 a Varsavia. A guerra ultimata si diploma all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Varsavia e diventa assistente professore dal 1953 al 1961. Insegna anche a Berlino e in Inghilterra prima di trasferirsi negli Stati Uniti nel 1966. Pittore, scultore, artista grafico, è il co-fondatore della Polish School of Posters, con cui ha creato centinaia di manifesti dal design audace. Fondamentale nel clima polacco post-guerra l’esposizione del 1958 A Study of Space, in cui l’artista realizza dei lavori astratti che interagendo tra loro creano nuove composizioni spaziali.
